As a non-profit organization, VNA of Southern California provides care to all patients regardless of their payment source which may include but is not limited to:

• Medicare
• MediCal
• Private Insurance
• Long-term Care Insurance
• Private pay

What is Palliative Care?

VNA of Southern California provides palliative care services as a bridge between acute care (such as in a hospital) and home, or between the hospital and hospice care. This level of care provides for patients who are still receiving treatment for chronic or severe conditions, but who are not hospice appropriate because they are still receiving curative treatment.

Palliative care helps alleviate symptoms, manage pain and stress, and improve the quality of life associated with a serious illness-whatever the diagnosis. Palliative care is appropriate for any age or stage of illness and accompanies curative treatment.
