“There’s No Place Like Home”
VNA of Southern California provides palliative care services as a bridge between acute care (such as in a hospital) and home, or between the hospital and hospice care. This level of care is designed for patients who are still receiving treatment for chronic or serious conditions, but who are not hospice appropriate because they are still receiving curative treatment.
Palliative care helps alleviate symptoms, manage pain and stress, and improve the quality of life associated with a serious illness whatever the diagnosis. Palliative care is appropriate for any age or stage of illness and is often provided alongside curative treatment.
How is Palliative Care Paid For?
