What We Do
Established in 1952, VNA Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern California is a community based, charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3 ) home care agency. When the agency began, the staff consisted of one public health nurse and the office was loaned to VNA by the Red Cross. Since that humble beginning, VNA has expanded dramatically. In addition to visiting nurse services, we provide a full range of services including physical, occupational and speech therapy, home health aides providing personal care, dietitians, medical social workers, chaplains and hospice care for patients with a life limiting illness.
Our agency’s motto is very simple: “Over 60 Years, One Mission: Excellent Care.” It is this philosophy that inspires us to provide care for hospice patients in our community, both insured and also those who are not covered by insurance or who have no means to pay for care.
